History of Comrades

As two comrades from Shimla for the post of Mayor and Dy. Mayor
were directly elected getting 40% votes from public. Com. Chauhan and
Com Panwar, the elevation from activists to deliverers of services was
a reward for representing the people's voice on issued ranging from the basic-
water, transport and cleanliness.

Release of additional instalment of Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief

The Union Cabinet today gave its approval to release an additional instalment of Dearness Allowance (DA) to central government employees and Dearness Relief (DR) to pensioners w.e.f. 1.1.2012 . Dearness Allowance increased by 7%  from 58% to 65% will be applicable from 01.01.2012.

GPF RATES REVISED FOR 2011-12

Interest rates are revised from 01.12.2011 to 31.03.2012 @ 8.6%.

Min. of Finance issued important order

MINISTRY OF FINANCE ISSUED ORDERS ON ANOMALY OVER INCREMENT BETWEEN FEBRUARY AND JUNE 2006

ALL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES AS ON DUTY ON 1.1.2006 AND WHOSE DATE OF INCREMENT WAS BETWEEN FEBRUARY AND JUNE WOULD BE NOW GIVEN AN INCREMENT IN THE PRE-REVISED SCALE OF PAY AS 'ONE TIME MEASURE' AND THEN AGAIN ANOTHER INCREMENT ON 1.7.2006.

ALL SUCH OFFICIALS WHOSE PAY WILL BE REFIXED W.E.F. 1.1.2006 SHOULD GET ARREARS AND OFFICIALS WHO RETIRED AFTER 1.1.2006 WILL GET THEIR PENSION UPWARDLY REVISED WITH ALL CONSEQUENTIAL RETIREMENT BENEFITS.

This is one of charter demand included in anomoly committee.
